An Art Nouveau porte-montre in silvered bronze and pewter, with an incised watch plate and a cast floral wreath cradle.
An Art Nouveau porte-montre (watch stand) in silvered bronze and pewter. The triangular flared plate is incised with whiplash foliage; a sinuous curved arm supports a circular watch cradle framed by a cast floral wreath with scrolled side wings. The surface has a two-tone bronze-to-pewter patina. A Continental Art Nouveau piece.
Materials
Silvered bronze and pewter. Casting: Crisp. Patina: Two-tone, even. Overall: Very good antique condition; wear consistent with age.
