This Swiss silver open-face pocket watch dates from around 1890-1905.
The movement is a 15-jewel Swiss lever with a Breguet overcoil hairspring and straight-line lever escapement - a quality specification for its era. The inner cuvette declares its credentials in engraved text: ANCRE 15 RUBIS / SPIRAL BREGUET / LIGNE DROITE. It winds smoothly, runs well, and keeps good time.
The case is 800 silver, stamped with the Swiss federal crescent-and-star guarantee mark confirming its purity. At 48.5mm it wears with real presence. The engine-turned back carries a blank cartouche - never engraved - and the white enamel dial with Roman numerals is in very good condition, clean and unmarked.
An honest, handsome Swiss silver pocket watch from a period when Swiss makers built movements to last generations.
